All I can do is sit and drink my beer. Sitting here with the Raines is kind of awkward for me given the history between hayden and myself. "So... This is fun."

I walk over and take a seat next to Spaz giving him a slap on the back, "Relax dude your going out with my sister so thought it would also be a good 'Welcome to the family' type thing"

Devlin laughed a little and hugged his little sister as she didn't say athing and Kate spoke up instead.
"No, I think not even Hayden had an idea Devlin was -actually- going to come here..I of ocurse knew better..Wow more people here than I thought"
she'd cross herhands bachind her back, all of a sudden self-concious.

picking up on everyones awkwardness I stand up and think of something, "Well I think we should all take a seat at the tagble and at least try to have a good time I mean this is the first time in what years we have all actually been in the same place at the same time without everyone wanting to kill each other"
I start to laugh hoping that the joke would lighten the mood

Kate spoke gently as she spoke.
"Well I have some news"
she'd lookst Balir and the others and she just sorta raised the engaement ring as Devlin said.
"She asked me, I don't know why she's so nervous"
Kate threw Devlin a look of minor mausment and a soft.
"i'm allowed to be girly"

Both mine and Lilith's jaws hit the floor.
"You guys are getting married!" I gave her another hug and punched Devlin in the shoulder.
"You didn't call me!"

Devlin winces a little as he was punched and spoke up defensively.
"She swore me to secrecy, wanted to tell you guys in person! Like you siad she's practically family anyways..Figured we'd ..yo u know make it offical..Dunno -when- though ..Hence the time off ..You know? actually stay still for a while."
Devlin nodded to Blair , given the relationship between the tow ofthem had only really been a professional one, Devlin realy couldn't comment, and why would he want to?
