.: The scene opens up to the outside of a wooden door that is opened just a crack. On the outside of the brown wooden door is a yellow paper withe the words “Legion of Doom” printed in black ink. We can hear some somebody talking on the other side of the door. As the door opens more we see that Vigilante is leaning over a long table. Along the sides of the table chairs are set up. And in the chairs we see tiny action figures standing or laying on the chair. We see The Penguin, The Joker, The Riddler, Dr. Doom, Magneto and Dr. Evil. Vigilante stands up straight and lets out a sigh.
Well I guess this is as a good a time as any for a break.
Vigilante walks towards the door and steps to the outside closing the door firmly behind him. He looks down the hall and turns left. We are actually in Vigilante’s house, he makes his way to the sliding glass doors and steps outside. He reaches into his breast pocket and pulls out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. He puts the cigarette in his mouth and lights it up. He takes a deep drag while placing the pack and lighter back into this jacket. He grabs a seat on the top of a wooden bench on the patio.
Well I guess the cat is out of the bag now, I guess everybody knows about my little group of super villains. Now I will have you know that they weren’t my first choice, but apparently Charlie Manson isn’t allowed field trips, Casey Anthony wants to stay out of the media, Glen Beck.... well he was available, I tried to find that Zimmerman guy but I think he has gone underground, my financial backer Bernie Madoff apparently his assets are frozen. And well Carrot Top, but that guy is just to evil even for me. No I had to scratch these evil doers all star lineup. But I think that I assembled a crack team of evil henchmen, so now apparently Damage is going to have to form his own little Justice League to combat me. Maybe we can do battle against each other all over the OW.
Vigilante takes another drag from his cigarette as he smiles.
You know Damage I think that you give me a lot more credit then I deserve. I mean what have I done to make me so evil? I know I am no angel but can I really be that bad? Am I really this monster that you portray me as. I mean I don’t recall viciously assaulting anybody sending them to the hospital, I don’t remember attacking any fans, I don’t think I used my vehicle as a weapon over and over against a car that still had people in it, and I don’t remember kidnapping anybody. I mean I remember all of that stuff, but that was years ago, long before you and I ever met. Surely you can’t be talking about all that, come on man that is water under the bridge. How long can you hold all that against a guy.
But I’ll tell you what Damage you want me to be your big bad, you want me to be your super villain of the week, well I’ll be your huckleberry. You don’t have to look any farther than myself, I will gladly step into that role. So now that you found your villain what are you going to do?
You want to be the crusader for good, you want to fight the good fight. Well that is all well and good for you my friend. Me, I think I will stick to what I do best, and that is surviving. We both have been around this business for a long time, we both know a thing or two about survival. I do whatever it takes to survive and I will do whatever it takes to win. I don’t really care if it is the right thing, and I don’t really care if it is the legal thing. I am going to do what needs to be done. You and I have done this dance before and I came out on the losing end. That is something that I don’t want to repeat again. I don’t want to feel that again. That loss even though it was in another federation is still fresh in my mind. I don’t lose to often Damage, so when I do I tend to remember them, and I tend to do whatever it takes to make sure that it doesn’t happen again.
Vigilante takes another drag from his cigarette as he gives his goatee a tug with his left hand.
You know Damage you and I, we aren’t so different are we? I mean we may not see eye to eye on some things, we may go about things differently, but in the end here we are again, both in a match against each other for a championship. We may have taken different paths to get to the top, but we are both there. I think that we both have a level of respect for each other. But that is the way that this story usually goes doesn’t it. I guess in the end every hero needs a nemesis, needs somebody to stand in their way, somebody to challenge them, make them question their beliefs and push them to their limits. It looks like fate has brought us together in that Damage. It seems like wherever either of goes lately there is the other one standing in their way, we can’t seem to escape each other. In the stories and comic books good usually finds away to triumph over evil. It seems like the good guy always wins, but it isn’t always that simple. Usually he will lose something along the way, maybe a piece of themselves, maybe a loved one. There is always a price to pay when you tangle with evil. So what is your price going to be Damage, what are you going to sacrifice in order to get a victory over me? This match isn’t quite conducive to you I would think. Are you going to be able to use those electric wires, are you going to be able to stoop to that level. Because I can tell you right now that I won’t have any problem with that. I won’t hesitate for a moment to use anything that I can to win, I won’t think twice about what damage I might be doing to you. I will have no conscience when I get into that ring, and I will not be held responsible for what happens to you inside that ring.
And you know things don’t always play out like they do in the comic books, you know in reality good doesn’t always triumph over evil. There is evil all around us in this world of ours, everywhere you turn. Don’t believe me, just turn on the news, flip over to Nancy Grace, turn on Fox News and you will see some real evil, take a trip down to Washington you won’t have to look far there. No, Damage evil is all around us. Everyday evil is beating the shit out of the good, in the real world Damage evil usually wins. This makes your stand and your fight all the more envious, but at the same time it also paints you in a pathetic light. I mean one man standing up to all the wrong, that is an awful lot to take on. That is a battle that even you can’t win, no matter how much you wish it so. Times are changing around you Damage, you seem to have this 50’s style view, maybe it is a little too Leave It to Beaver for me. The world is a much different place now Damage, and no one man is going to change that. You either change with the times are you get left behind. I said earlier than I am survivor, I do what I need to do. I have no problem adapting to this new era. Your ways are a thing of the past my friend, and after Domination you might just be too. I guess we will see how long you can fight the good fight Damage, because I am not going anywhere.
I will be at Domination and I will meet you in that electric ring and once again we will do battle. Once again we will see good versus evil. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that the fate of mankind hangs in the balance. But I do think that this may set the stage for things that are to come. Domination is just going to be the begging. I guess the only thing left to be decided is what is it going to be the begging of. The winds of change are blowing Damage, your time and the time of your kind is over. The good have had their time at the top, I think that it is time for evil to have its chance to reign.
Vigilante pushes himself up from the bench and takes a last drag from his cigarette before dropping it on the ground. He stares into the camera to deliver his last point.
Remember this Damage... Fear is pain from the anticipation of evil... You will fear me.
Vigilante gives one last smile to the camera as he turns and heads back inside. The scene fades to black, then to the Domination logo. :.
