.: The scene opens up to midday and we see Vigilante in his blue jeans and black leather jacket leaning against a brick wall in what appears to be an alley. Vigilante has a cigarette in his lips and takes a drag. He lets out a stream of smoke into the air as he adjust his weight against the building. Vigilante cracks a smile and gives a little laugh.
You know Damage I don’t know what it is but something about you just reminds me of Strong Bad. Maybe it is the mask, maybe the little jabs. But I like you I really do. I have no problem stepping into the ring with you, I like a challenge, I like getting in the ring with somebody that is going to push me to my limits. I like to really be able to let go in the ring and let it all hang out. I think that come Domination you and I are going to steal the show. I can’t wait to get into the ring, with all that electricity around us. Oh the damage that we are going to cause. No pun intended of course.
I see that you enjoyed my little Legion of Doom, and of course you wish you had them. Now I see you tried your best to imitate the myself, and I am flattered of course. They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But of course you didn’t quite capture the true essence of Vigilante quite right. Don’t you worry though Damage I think in time you and I will become very familiar with each other. Soon enough you will know everything about me, soon enough I will be haunting your every waking moment. Soon you won’t be able to walk down your street to grab yourself some scratch offs without looking over your shoulder thinking you saw me out of the corner of your eye. Soon Damage you will find me to be your real life waking nightmare, soon you won’t be able to forget my face. Maybe then you can find somebody that actually looks like me.
Vigilante takes another drag from his cigarette.
As for your performance it wasn’t too bad. I was kind of sad to see that you gave into peer pressure and went more current. But I am afraid that you didn’t quite go current enough. I mean you music choice was fine, but the performance... it was just so blah.
Vigilante gives a little shrug of his shoulders as he takes the last drag from his cigarette and drops it on the ground. He puts his boot on it and stomps it out, and pushes himself away from the building. He turns around and opens a door and starts walking down a hallway, he continues to talk as he makes his way around the building.
You and I Damage, we like to give a little tit for tat. So you know I will see your little poor ass performance and raise you. Given the most recent success of Dr. Dre at the Coachella music festival with brining Tupac back to life. So I came here to the place that brought that show to life. And we have been working together to bring something special to you and the OW. I thought that I might put something together and see if maybe Nero would be interested in using it at Domination. So what we did Damage is instead of using some sort of look a like wannabe I figured I might as well use the real deal. We have taken hundreds of hours of video from your promos, matches, photos and just about any image of you we can find. And we have made a 3 dimensional image that we can manipulate. We then took some audio recordings and analyzed the voice and tune and can now digitally alter the recordings. They say that they can use this technology to bring back to life performers who died long ago, or replay old sporting events from the past, or even broadcast live events. Technology is a wonderful thing Damage, you should look into it some time.
Vigilante makes his way into a control room and takes a seat and a control booth. He starts pushing some buttons. An image of damage is projected into the next room, it slowly hovers and rotates showing the fine detail of the 3D image.
So lets take a look and see what we have come up with so far.
Vigilante hits a button and the image snaps forward and stands walking around singing. The first song is actually to “Walk Through The Fire” from the musical episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
I took the match and now he is beating me.
I look into his eyes and I see black.
Why can I feel?
The pain is just so surreal
I lost the title match.
Now through the pain some calls my name.
I guess I am the only one to blame
I think I gave it away, I saw Vig walk away.
I guess its all the same
Vigilante nods his head not quite sure about the song.
Not bad, lets see here, next I think that we have Twisted Sisters “We’re Not Gonna Take it.”
Vig is gonna take it
Yes, he is gonna take it.
He is just gonna take it, from me.
I ain’t got no right to it
There ain’t no way he’ll lose it.
this is my chance, its been so long
The fans cheer for me, they think its my destiny.
But they don’t know him, they’re just wrong.
He’ll beat me convincingly
the pain is never ending
I can’t feel nothin, not a thing thanks to him
I gave it everything I have
Nothing left to give
That was my best, my best won’t do
Vigilante nods with a smile. Not bad lets see what is next. The hologram resets and now Meatloaf’s Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad start up.
Maybe I can fight all night
But its not getting me no where
I gave it everything I possibly can
I have nothing left inside
And maybe I can fight all night
But I think my fate is already sealed
The blows make me want to die
I wish someone would get me out of here
He poured it on, almost knocked me out
I tried but I pushed as hard as I dare
I think we all know that I’ve lost this bout.
He is so strong it just seems wrong
Its hard to believe we are peers
And all I can do is keep on telling myself
I have beaten you
But there ain’t no way I’m ever gonna beat you tonight
Now I can’t be sad cause one out of two ain’t bad
No I can’t be sad cause one of of two ain’t bad.
Alright that one isn’t to bad, and trust me Damage losing to me at Domination is not something that you will have to hand your head for. And you have beaten me, so you can always hang your hat on that. You will be able to tell your grandkids one day that you did in fact beat the legendary Vigilante... once. Lets see what else have they done here.
Vigilante hits another button and hologram Damage breaks out into his rendition of The Red Hot Chili Peppers Water Under the Bridge.
Sometimes I feel
Like I have no chance
Sometimes I feel
Like I’ve already lost
I just can’t beat him
Hes the Angel of Vengeance
Lowly am I
Why should I try
He just can’t be beat
He is the real champion
The though of the fight gives me the chills
Cause I know I can’t win
I know I can’t beat him
I got lucky before
I tell myself I can win
But I know that is a lie
Vigilante’s gonna kick my ass
I know it has to be that way
Theres not a thing I can do
I wish I could just run away
Its hard to believe
That in this match I don’t have a prayer
Its hard to believe
I’m going to have to give up my throne
Vigilante is going to beat me
I know I can’t change this
This time is different
This time I’m not ready
Vigilante’s gonna kick my ass
I know it has to be that way
Theres not a thing I can do
I wish I could just run away
Inside the ring
Is where he will draw my blood
Inside the ring
He can’t get enough
Inside the ring
He is gonna take the belt
Inside the ring
I will lose my consciousness
Vigilante hits a button and the song stops and the hologram disappears.
Well that is just a little bit of what we have done so far. I know that Nero is looking to make a splash at the first OW show and I figured who wouldn’t want to see a Damage performance like that. Who knows what else we can make this hologram do, we will have some fun and see.
But I know that there is one thing that nobody is going to make the real Damage do at Domination. And that is come out with a victory. Right now Damage I am having some fun, everything is all shits and giggles. But you and I both know that once the two of us are inside that ring, and the hum of electricity is surrounding us that I am going to be all business. If you ask me you got lucky the first time, do you really think that you can survive another round with me, do you really think that you have what it takes to beat me two times in a row. I think your luck has run out my friend. And at Domination I am going to prove it. Like I have said before, you and I, we have danced this dance before. But this time I am going to be dancing to the beat of my own drum. I only hope that you can keep up.
Vigilante spins around in his chair and the hologram of Damage pops up again, as we start fading to darkness we can see Vigilante bobbing his head to the beat and chuckling. We fade to black and the glowing logo for Domination.
You know Damage I don’t know what it is but something about you just reminds me of Strong Bad. Maybe it is the mask, maybe the little jabs. But I like you I really do.
