.: We open up to the inside of a gym. We hear the squealing sound of shoes on hard wood floors, and a thumping. We hear a door slam shut as we see Damage enter the gym. He hears the squealing and makes his way to the end of the gym. Damage walks to the corner and opens a door to another room attached to the main gym. We follow him in there to see Vigilante in black basketball shorts and a gray shirt, he also has a pair of goggles on his head as he is smashing a blue rubber ball with his hands against the wall. He is using the side wall and looks to be having some fun, letting out some grunts has he connect. Damage just shakes his head as he approaches his partner and grabs the ball out of the air before Vigilante can hit it again.
Oh hey Damage, I didn’t hear you come in. Great, I am glad that you are here.
Damage idly turns the ball around in his hand.
And why exactly did you call me here, I was in the middle of a Batman marathon. And while we are on the subject, what in the world are you doing?
Oh did you see Dark Knight Rises? What did you think of that? What about the end, when.
Come on Vig, don’t spoil it for the people. Damage can’t help it, he has to smile. But it was awesome.
I can’t wait to see it again. But I digress.
Damage raises an eyebrow. Digress is it?
Vigilante can’t help but crack a smile as well. Hell yeah digress, I used it right. I know what I am talking about. Now where was I... digressing... Oh yes I was going to tell you why I brought you here.
Vigilante takes the ball out of Damage’s hands and starts bouncing it as he speaks.
As I am sure that you have noticed the OW is being invaded by foreigners.
Vig... Damage’s voice takes on a warning tone.
Vigilante waves away Damages warning.Nah, it isn’t anything like that. You know I don’t care about that. But what I care about is when somebody comes to this federation and tries to make a name for themselves, especially at my expense. Apparently we are being invade by our oldest foe... the English.
Damage nods his head. The UK Crew
Vigilante nods his head in agreement. Those would be the ones. And apparently they have decided the best way to make a name for themselves here in the OW is by pissing me off. As far as I am concerned they can keep putting me down, and I will just keep getting back up. I will get mine, and if we ever get the chance to even up the numbers then we are really going to teach them a lesson.
You know that I would have been there last week, but they had all the doors in the locker room locked.
Vigilante waves away Damage’s worry. Oh trust me I know. I know that you go my back. And that women that was with them, there was something familiar about her, I don’t know if it was the eyes, or the curves on the body.
Damage gives a little smirk. You know who they say is under there right?
Vigilante shrugs. I know what they say, and I believe it when I see it. Another smile comes across Vigilante’s face. And I will still admire the curves then as well.
Oh even I would like to see that one. But I am afraid that none of this explains what you are doing here.
Well I figured with it being Olympic time, and here we are having a little tiff with some Brits. I thought that we could find a way to settle this, why not Handball. I figured that we could play some doubles maybe, some good ol’ fashioned competition. So I figured that maybe we can get in a little practice. So what do you say partner, want to get in a little practice and take it to these Brits Olympic Handball style.
Vigilante tosses the ball over to Damage, he catches it and just looks at Vigilante before he finally smiles. I love your enthusiasm Vig, but you do know that this isn’t Olympic Handball right?
Vigilante just raises an eyebrow as he gives his best Arnold Drummer What you talking about Damage?
This isn’t Olympic Handball. This game that is commonly known as handball, isn’t even in the olympics. Olympic Handball looks nothing like this, and it is played usually as a team.
Fuck.
Yeah so I don’t think that this is going to work. We will see what we can do. But don’t you have something else that you should be thinking of besides the UK Crew.
Vigilante nods in agreement Big Brother, don’t worry man I got Tivo on that.
I was actually talking about your upcoming opponent at Oracle.
Brooklyn. Vigilante gives his goatee a tug. Yeah I haven’t forgotten about her, have you?
Damage touches the back of his head, remembering when Brooklyn took a baseball bat to the back of his head. Some can trace the formation of VD to that moment when Vigilante made sure Brooklyn didn’t do any more damage.
Yeah I didn’t think so. No I am ready for her, I haven’t forgotten about her. But she is just one borough, it doesn’t matter how flashy she is I will take care of her. You know me I have no problem taking on women like some guys do, I have proven that. They belong here just as much as anybody else. Brooklyn is no exception. Her and Anton have put their nose in VD’s business before, and now it is my time to put her back in her place. You know I thought that Anton was gone, I thought that we had seen the last of him, but then he makes another appearance last Oracle. I haven’t seen him and Brooklyn together, but I can’t ignore the possibility that they are still together.
But at Oracle it is going to be Brooklyn in the ring with me, not Anton. If he wants to show his face then I will try to make sure that I have something for him as well. Brooklyn has always been somebody that I have been watching, I think that she is somebody that is often overlooked. I think a lot of people might have thought that she was stuck in Anton’s shadow. But I didn’t really buy that. I think most people would admit that she was the brains behind that operation. I fully believe and buy that. But I think that she can more than handle herself in the ring. I think that is where a lot of people didn’t give her a lot of credit. And I think that is where a lot of her opponents fell short. When you start looking past or not giving your opponent the respect that they deserve the you are setting yourself up for a fall. And when your opponent is as smart and cunning as Brooklyn is then you are really in for a tough fight.
So I know going into this not to over look Brooklyn. But the fact of the matter is nobody has been able to pin my shoulders to the mat here in that OW. That is something that I am used to, and that is something that I am proud of. If Brooklyn thinks that she is the person that can change that then the more power to her. She is welcome to try what nobody else has been able, I just hope that she isn’t too disappointed when she fails.
I have heard rumors that gold isn’t too important to her, that it isn’t something that she really cares about. And with this match being for my championship, maybe that won’t add anything to her. But it does to me. I take great pride in being the Gladiator Champion, I love the target that it puts on my back. I love the fact that it makes everybody want to give it their best when they go against me. Greed can bring out the best in some people. And I like it when my opponents bring their best, because there is nothing that I love more then looking into my opponents eyes when they know that they have given everything they have, and it still isn’t enough. When you get to look into their eyes and watch that crushing realization. There isn’t a greater joy to me.
So go ahead Brooklyn look into my eyes and let me know what you see. Because I am going to be looking into yours, and I am going to wait and see that realization. Let me know what you see in my eyes. I think that you are going to see the strength and determination of a champion. You have had some challenges here in the OW here Brooklyn, you have proved yourself to be a worthy competitor. You have earned that and there is no taking that away from you Brooklyn. Vigilante cracks a smile. But you haven’t run up against anybody like me. You may think that you have, you might think that I will be a piece of cake and there is nothing special. But you couldn’t be more mistaken. So come into this matching thinking what you want, come into it in whatever mindset that you can. Because when you leave there will be no doubt in your mind who the winner is.
Damage nods his head and tosses the ball back to Vigilante
So you still want to practice some Handball?

Damage just smiles. Batman.
Vigilante tosses the blue ball against the wall one last time as he and Damage make their way back into the main gym and start making their way to the door. Both men are smiling and laughing. We slowly fade to black. :.
