---A Story Begins---

Scene I

We see a few young people, can't be any older than 20, sitting around a table at what looks to be an Applebee's. There are four of them, plates all over the table as well as some glasses from their drinks. One of them stands out from the rest in a few ways. He appears to be the most athletic, as well as the one who is participating the least in the conversation, while the other three chatter away.
The fourth, Lincoln Everett, is actually quite focused on his iPhone. He's wearing a black button down shirt over a white tee, and he has a pair of sunglasses tucked in his shirt pocket. He looks up every so often to see the TV, ESPN on. He's browsing around a website, although its not quite certain what site he's on. After a short period of time, his phone rings.
"Hello? Yeah, this is Lincoln...You what? Really? That's great! Yeah, I can make it, no problem. Yeah, I'll definitely be there. You won't regret this. Alright, see you Monday."
Lincoln hangs up, the biggest grin on his face. His friends all look at him. One of them, Eric, speaks first.
"Who was it?"
"Guys, I'm officially a professional wrestler."
They all look at him in complete shock, everyone then starts to smile. Lincoln is the only one who still looks legitimately surprised by it.
"That's awesome! When's your first match?"
"The 23rd. I'm not sure I'm ready for this. I haven't done any training since wrestling season was over this past spring."
Eric waves his hand nonchalantly.
"I'm sure you'll do fine. You were the best in our entire conference all through high school. Just keep working your ass off."
Lincoln nods his head, as though saying, "Yeah, you're right. I've got this." Everyone keeps talking and chattering away then after a few seconds as though it never even happened and the scene ends.

This next scene opens up with Lincoln sitting on a weight bench in a crowded gym in Philadelphia. There are other guys all around him, all lifting weights. The guys are all different, some your typical meathead, others about Lincoln's size. The camera gets real close to Lincoln, and you can still faintly hear grunts and groans from the others there.
"Hey everyone, I'm Lincoln Everett. The new guy. I hail from Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love. Remember Rocky? Yeah, that's where I'm at.
Anyway, before I start to ramble, let me get on with this. I wanted to sign a contract with Odyssey, living the dream. Straight out of high school, and I was the superstar of the wrestling team here. A lot of schools offered me college scholarships, but I knew I could make it as a pro wrestler from the beginning. As soon as I knew I got my job, I was asked if I wanted a match at the next card, as they had an open match spot. Like a true pro, I said yes.
My opponent is, uh...the name is Kunoichi? As soon as I heard who I was pitted against, and knew that I'd never heard of them, I hurried to the computer and went straight for Google. But unfortunately, the results were lacking. I still know pretty much nothing. Here is what I do know though.
I know that she's from the Far East, and I want to say Japan? Don't quote me on that though, I'm not positive. And a female? Well this will be a learning experience for me, I've never wrestled a woman before. I'm sure she knows her way around the ring though, so I'm not gonna go too easy and risk embarrassing myself in the debut.
But yeah, I know nothing else about her. Maybe I didn't do enough research, I dunno. Ah well. Now Kuno, let me tell you about myself.
I was a statewide name all throughout high school, lost one match all four years. I've got the heart of a lion, and the ambition of one ballsy punk. I was offered free education on a wrestling scholarship at five major universities, including Boston College and Oklahoma. And in my sophomore year, I was ranked in the top 5 high school wrestlers nationally. As far as never being professional yet, some people consider me to be the best. I don't quite go that far talking about myself though.
All of my life, I've wanted to be a pro wrestler. I has always looked up and had nothing more than respect for all of the greats, and I've always wanted to be just like them. And this is my opportunity to do that. So here I am, ready to take on my first professional wrestling match. Before we start, you should know that there is one thing I don't do in matches. That's lose. And this will be no exception.
You see Kuno, I'm brand new, so you do have experience on me, but I'm quick, fast, and unpredictable. You don't know where I'll be attacking from. You don't know how I can be, and you surely don't know what you're getting yourself into. I am sure that I will quickly be molding myself into the best in the world, and will reach that in no time at all, especially if this is nearly as easy as amateur wrestling was.
So Kuno, I would hate to see you get hurt, please be careful in our match, because I don't want to be responsible for hurting a girl, haha. No, but really, good luck, because you'll need it."
The camera pans away and Lincoln lays back on the weight bench and starts bench pressing as the scene ends.
