Nero knocks on the door and waits a moment...

She looks around the hall way, pretty sure whoever just looked through the peep hole wasn't sure if they should answer the door.

"I come in peace, just want to talk to him." The door opens and I see an old.. friend? answer the door. I use the question mark in my thought because we never really had any issues with each other, our boyfriends were the ones with issues.

"Hi Kate, it's been awhile. Is Devlin in?"

[steelmorrigan]

Kate would back up and let the door in and says softly.

"I told him you'd be coming"

She waves her on in with a smile.

"Go ahead."

[Nero]

"Congratulations by the way." She points to the ring on her finger as she walks in.

She looks around the room with an uncomfortable smile before looking back at Kate. "Yeah... I kinda had to after that."

[steelmorrigan]

Kate nodded softly.

"He knows sh'es stirred the pot, but ..you know Devlin..He doen't mean anything by you..He just..never did like the System....But I think you know how that is."

She wanders through and Devlin is just relaxed and smile at Nero.

"On a scale of 1 to 10..?"

[Nero]

"Perhaps a 4... but mainly because I'm sick of everyone pulling me into this. Feel honored, you're the first one I choose to react to, despite Hayden being an ass."

She looked at Devlin and became a little more relaxed. She smiled about Hayden, but shook her head.

"I'm not here about that family member, but since Kate did tell you I'd be here..."

Devlin spoke up with a shake of his head and a soft.

"im Honoured Nero, but this is kinda a dumb move..Slapping me on the wirst for what I siad.. Ain't going to chaneg anything what's said is said and I kinda mean it.. because Well? It's been my experence to get jerked aroudn by the Pwoers that be.. no matter hwo they are..so seriously..it's nothin' personal..It's just me..tryin' to buck the system..Like always..Maybe ..just maybe show the system ain;t afriad to come down on a Raine...Prove to some ignortnt shit that we are just the same as them..no special favours..o titles just being handed out.. You know Little things."

He held his hands up a little.

"if you were me..you'd have said it too..I think"

"I didn't hand Bathory the title to make her a target Devlin. She's annoying but a part of me still feels bad for the past.

I gave her the belt because she earned it back in AW.
I know, new place, new shit. But I didn't over look how far she's come. So NNY and me made a choice and that's where it went."

She had to laugh, just a smidge.

"I would say the same damn thing and believe me.. no matter how many times I hear it, I still can't get used to the boss.... Just never compare me to him, ever again."

The only part of her that sounded bothered was the last bit, than she went back to normal.

"Like I said at Domination, we've all lost family, I'm not looking for this place to follow that rep. So I'm going to sit back and let you tear off their heads.

I didn't plan this and I wouldn't do it for ratings, we have enough without your sister being put on the alter."

[steelmorrigan]

"Ok maybe that last bit was a little Low Nero.. But You know me..i -love- to get a rise out of the management.."

A small grin and a gesture to where she's stood.

"Noted and recieved, I'm just saying I didn't like the call.. ok? Then again once you're yup there you end up having to make shitty calls, and yo uend up with ass holes like me calling you on it..every time."

A smile.

"You need an asshole like me to keep ya'll in check"

[Nero]

She laughed a bit and shook her head. "You're going to end up being the death of me Dev... I'm going to head out, I just wanted you to know where I stood, I like to think we're still friends after all these years."

[steelmorrigan]

He nods a little.

"We are Nero, But At the same time...I need to flag wave and Rabble rouse..So If I touch alittle close to the Bone? Just gimme a heds up ..And I'll likley apologize..But ..I won't and can't take back everything I say.. because it's what I think is right.. ok?"

He smiles.

[Nero]

"I wouldn't expect anything else from you Devlin. Congratulations, I always knew she'd get you to settle down." I teased as I headed back towards the door.

I stopped and gave him a more serious tone, "I hope you guys find her, she's been through a lot of shit."

I turned back to the door and let myself out.

"Nero."

"No Remmi, just stay out of it."
